Help Select the Cover for the Parents' Handbook
My next book, Parent's Handbook: NLP and Common Sense Guide for Family Well-Being will be available in January - February 2010. At this time, I am asking for your input on the book's front cover. A first set of designs was prepared in mid-November. Many of you provided input on these designs. For info, these designs can be found at www.renewal.ca/Ellerton_CoverDesigns_09-11-13.pdf.
I received a great deal of useful and positive feedback on these designs with designs 2 and 3 being the most popular. These two designs were not without their problems. For design 2, some of you did not like the cutout figures; while for design 3, some were concerned that the family represented one ethnic group.
The designer has now taken design 2 and used different graphics. For design 3, she explored different pictures, however any new pictures did not duplicate the excitement and warmth in the original picture or did not address the ethnic question. So other than some tweaking of fonts, it remains very much the same.
The new set of covers can be found at www.renewal.ca/Ellerton_CoverDesigns_09-11-20.pdf. There are four and I refer to them as designs 1b, 2b, 3b and 4b, respectively. Please comment on any aspect of the designs - font, size of font, color, etc.
The images used for the covers are low-resolution and therefore rough. Thus, the final version will look much better.
